FTN Episode 235 – Did the FAQ Change Your List and Special Segment with CMON!

FTN small square

We talk a bit about mission design and how the overall state of hobby in your area could effect your tournament scene.  The episode ended up a little longer than we expected – sorry for the ramble…  about an hour in we are joined by Michael Shinall from CMON to talk about their new Song of Ice and Fire miniature game.

Hey hey,

In this episode we talk about the Louisville Slugga on June 9th and 10th and about the ATC Tournament coming up July 13-15th.   Please register for these events!

We don’t crack post FAQ meta wide open or anything but we do talk about how the nature of the game is getting much more well defined and how this SHOULD effect mission design.  For instance, if you don’t want Gunline armies to rule the roost then you have to incentivize people to take more interactive lists through creative, but fair, missions.

This ended up being a bit of a wandering talk about mission, tournaments and the hobby scene.  I slip in there somewhere to say that Val Heffelfinger beat me in our grudge/trash-talk match.

In the last segment I am joined by Michael Shinall from Cool Mini or Not to talk about their upcoming miniature wargame based on the Song of Ice and Fire books.  It’s a rank and file based fantasy battle game where units come pre-assembled where you can take them out of the box and pretty much put them right on the table.

The Hobby Segment will be back next week!

Thank you and Enjoy!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.
