FTN Episode 241 – Slugga Recap – Upcoming Events and Player Spotlight!

FTN small square

Believe your ears… We have brand new intro music!  Let us know what you think.  We do a recap for the Slugga, get to talk to Sarah form BattleHaven and sit down with a player for a new Player Spotlight segment.

Hey guys,

We do a little recap of the Slugga and let you guys know who came away with the top prizes.  This ended up being a great event and we’ll definitely be doing it again next year.

We saw a HUGE mix of armies represented with a ton of unique lists.  It is really nice to see 8th Edition ‘working as intended’ and allowing for lots of armies to be played.  The missions maybe have had a little bit to do with it as well.  They seemed to encourage wanting to go second while still allowing for an aggressive play style.

In part two of the show we speak with Sarah Hollingshead from BattleHaven. BattleHaven is a gaming retreat/vacation.  It’s not a tournament but more of a celebration of gaming in a scenic resort environment.  It pretty darn close to all inclusive and they prepare themed meals as well.  Check out the pictures on their site.  They are ahhhhhmazing.

In the show we speak about a few links to follow.   One is for Scott Switzer.  He is a panelist on the Radio Free Isstvan podcast.   Click that link!  Please check out this tournament as well  The other is for the Chicago Open GT.

We close the show with a new segment we’ll certainly continue called the Player Spotlight.  This time we feature Matthew Bodnarchuk. He’s a member of the British Columbia Battle Brothers.  I played against him at the LVO and had a blast.

Thank you and Enjoy!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.
