FTN Episode 219 – Deck the Halls with Red and Green Army Lists

FTN small square

The talk this week is about army list choices and ‘why’ you would take certain things over others.  We talk about this in relation to Blood Angels and Dark Angels armies but you can apply the concepts to any build

Yo,

Play-test season is upon us!  I am anxious to get my Blood Angels on the table and we talk about the list choices in this episode.  Chris Morgan brings up some EXCELLENT points on space marine scout bikers.    Space Marine Scouts come up a lot in this episode for more than just their ability to fill a detachment requirement.

In the second part of the show we talk about Dark Angels and their master over plasma weaponry.

Specifically we talk about their ability to manipulate the rolls to maximize your damage output and how Grim Resolve might not be as bad as we once thought.

Please let us know how your army lists are shaping up.

Deathwing and Ravenwing, of course, get their own special flavor in this codex but there are new ways to field the ‘Greenwing’ too now that most of the space marine options are available to them.

The Finishing Moves segment is sponsored by Frontline Gaming. Their new mats are now hot off the presses and getting ready to be shipped. Please check them out, even if you already have a game mat. Their new styles are very impressive. If you haven’t already get your tickets NOW for the mega Las Vegas Open.

Next week we’ll be back with a Starting and Finishing Move.

Thank you and Enjoy!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.
