FTN Episode 199 – Codexes – The other 90% of Warhammer 40k 8th Edition

FTN small square

This is another double sized episode with an exclusive interview with Cool Mini Or Not about their Song of Ice and Fire wargame live on Kickstarter right now.  We also talk about some up coming events and Finishing Moves is back!

Hey Guys,

We cover a lot of stuff this episode ranging from the FTN 8th Edition Missions, The CMON Kickstarter, and the new Space Marines codex.

There are a few differences in the Codex from the Index published a few weeks ago.  We don’t get bogged down talking about every one of them but we do point a few important things.  This big take away is make sure you look at the points and weapon options closely before going into your next game with Marines.

The Game of Thrones War-game kickstarter is on fire.   This is what we’ve come to expect from Cool Mini campaigns but it is still fun to see it happen.

The Finishing Moves segment is sponsored by Frontline Gaming. Their new mats are now hot off the presses and getting ready to be shipped. Please check them out, even if you already have a game mat. Their new styles are very impressive. If you haven’t already get your tickets NOW for the mega Las Vegas Open.

This Finishing Moves segment is about painting stripes.  On something small like a Space Marine head this can be very intimidating.  We try to take some of the fear out of it for you.  Please let us know if you give it a shot.

Thank you and Enjoy!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.

Alternatively you can subscribe via your own iTunes, and it should update our podcast when we post a new one.
