The Custodes Are Shrinking!! Do They Need Help?

We talk a lot about the new Custodes this week and they seem pretty good.  They have a MUCH smaller footprint on some units but they picked up a few tricks in this release, and some beefcake new status, that should keep them in the spotlight.

There is a new unit or two hitting the dex and a few entries that are going to Legends.  It sucks to lose anything out off the play rotation but effectively I don’t think you will miss them.  With that said.. You might have to keep some of your existing models on the shelf because the units are shrinking a bit.  (a lot?)

You have a TON of detachments to choose  from in the book so that seems to be one of the hallmarks of this edition. I love that.  I say I love that, and I do… but does that mean that every army is going to be able to do everything?  That remains to be seen.  There is a lot of character and fun stuff packed into what we’ve seen so far.

This kinda feels like the Custodes going back to a super elite force that specialize in tactics that other armies wish they could pull off. You might get the sense again that each of these really is an army of 1 fighting on the battle field able to punch into anything.
