FTN Episode 413 – Tau Previews.. Did Any Expect That?

FTN small square

This week we talk a little bit about hobby progress and after the break we talk a bit about the new Tau things highlighted on the Warhammer  Community page. Then we talk about THE META.  What does that even mean?

Hi all,

Stats are stats as data is data.  In a lot of cases you can make it mean whatever you need it to mean or not mean…  I’m not trying to be vague here but with Games Workshop getting back into Matched Play events  they are starting to release information on how these events went.

Win Rates  have a lot of variance based on sample size, the pilots of those lists, the dice, the perfection to which the players played, the number of turns played, etc. etc.

To me, what is more meaningful is the go first win rate.  The format, average player skill level, terrain and maybe even mission choice and order may have – for the first time in history – leveled the playing field on needing first turn.  Is that legit?!

We front load the hobby talk on this episode and talk about where we are with certain projects.  Hope you enjoy it and that you’re getting some time to work on your stuff!

Every paint stroke you do today is a stroke you don’t have to do tomorrow!

Forge the Narrative is mostly a Warhammer 40k Podcast. Each episode is about an hour long. This ideally gives you something neat to listen to on your way to work, or on the way back home. Maybe you can even listen while you are painting or modeling!

Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

FTN mostly focuses on 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you. We are now on Pandora!! If you’re looking for another place to listen or you’ve shifted to that platform you can find us there.

Alternatively you can subscribe via your own iTunes, and it should update our podcast when we post a new one.
